ok i am looking for a 05 06 radio that is the mp3 and has the black face willing to trade for my silver one or purchase

 

the 07 ones are black

05 06 have a different harness than the 07

I think all mp3 decks had the silver face. HOWEVER, the face place is removeable so if you really want it, buy a junked 05-06 radio and swap face plates.

 

i thought about that but cant find any

 

i also thoght about painting the face but dont get the exact match they did make the mp3 in black but iwould like to buy one or swap for one

 

yea cant do it. you have regular audio system where the 07's have whats known as a lan system. therefore to put an aftermarket radio in your car is cheap (roughly $50 in parts) where the harness alone is $130 for the 07. i would just get a simple aftermarket radio

 

i really dont want to i like the factory radio it does what i need and the harness for the 06 is still expensive i thought it was like 80 -100 dollars

 

nope its the same harness as the 05 one. i forget the model number (something 2003) but its actually a saturn harness.

buy an mp3 radio, and go to gm dealer and buy faceplate from an 06 ls radio!!

 

chevylschik has an 05 w/ mp3 option that is black faced

 

does she want to get rid of it or swap i will pm her
