More so settings. I had a general idea, but didn't have a lot of attempts to play with them, but the pictures turned out pretty decent so I'm happy with them.

I mess with the lighting but not the sharpness. CS5 does a terrible job in my opinion on sharpening photos.

I don't use HDR setting on the camera.

Edit to much? All I'm doing is adjusting the lighting to get that HDR feel.

yeah i like the original better, i just dont like the hdr look but thats just me. and are you still using the 18-55m lens?

Yea, 18-55 nice, boost the colors?

It's so much easier to edit photo's when you shoot RAW by the way.

look into the 35mm 1.8 dx, its really nice and cheap.

yeah i really dont edit my pics much, and i never use photoshop so i dont really see a point to shoot raw.

Raised the temperature, fill light and brightness of the photo. Shooting RAW helps when you need it.
