Very nice, what beautifully clear skies.

There was hella lightning last night but the ambient light from the street lights wouldn't have done well in the photographs so I didn't aim to take any.

i think he means it looks like the camera was moved from right to left as the picture was being taken, but the fireworks themselves still look crystal clear.

that is the smoke from the fireworks. In the first one, I tapped the tripod before the fireworks went off by accident. So it has a little light jiggle early in the exposure. And the last shot it looks like a helicopter flew into frame.

Here is what a full size image looks like from the 3200. Not horrible at all with the 18-55 cheap glass kit lens

I usually use my Nikon D700 with my 50 1.4, 80-200 2.8 or 16-28 2.8.

Sorry for crappy quality. Went to ANOTHER wedding this weekend, much different than the last one, Catholic ceremony with a much larger budget.

They were married at St. Vincent De Paul Cathedral near USC, and the reception was at the very famous Vibiana, which was LA's first Catholic Cathedral, but was turned into an event center. They do fashion week and other things there. Not cheap lol.
