So after looking into the cost of dynamat I started searching throung the audio forums on difference web pages to find alteratives to cut out exhaust and road noise. I came across a bunch of people who used this stuff called Frost king. It's for insulating A/C ducting and has an aluminium backing and a foam rubber insulator, which also stops rattles and stuff. At $18 for 15sq/ft I decided to try it....





I would liek to say it worked well but I always think my projects do! LOL But even the picky wife says "I can't hear the muffler thingy as bad" I'm going to do the interior also soon.

I found it at lowes. It's 1/8th thick so it does not mess up the carpet and stuff when you put it back.
