cobalts vs hondas

went out last night. had a great time. made a few runs here and there. I wished I would have gotten a few more on video, but I didn't have a passenger the whole night. oh well, here are the ones I did get on video

first up: 2006 cobalt ss vs late 90's integra gsr

cobalt mods:
GM stage 2
I/H/DP/E tuned

integra mods:
60-1 turbo
supporting mods
tuned

camera car is my stock '06 cobalt ss with a doc tune

20 roll up to about 140 (notice I pull past the teg as well as my buddy pulling away.)

next race: 2006 cobalt ss (stock with doc tune) vs 2006 civic si (I/E)

cobalt is camera car. 40 roll, I had about 2 buslengths by the end of 3rd. I stopped at about 115.

last race: 2006 civic si (I/E) vs 2g dsm with a couple bolt -ons and a 13g turbo from a 1g auto dsm. (don't ask cause I don't know)

civic is camera car. 20 roll up to about 120. We thought the civic had a chance at first. lol

Like I said, there were a couple other races, but not really worth mentioning without vid proof. I don't like to gossip, I like to show proof.

Good kills.

But that Integra was either spinning, missing gears, not tuned, not actually boosting, lying about his turbo, or not trying.

spinning=no
missing gears= believe it or not, no
not tuned= that is why he wanted to race, cause he just got tuned, you should have seen it before the tune.
not actually boosting= a 20 roll is sufficient enough rpm and and what not for boost. if he did have lag, it wasn't much.
lying about turbo= no, it was a 60-1. I saw it.
not trying= he was just as impressed with you, and we raced again with the same outcome. so, he was definitely trying.

You= not believing= sorry, that's what happened. I've been told I have a freak cobalt by many people and now that I've had a chance to play with the ecu, it's even sicker. That si that I raced used to only be about 4-5 cars behind by the end of 3rd, now he is 2 bus lengths behind. Like 12 cars or so. Plus, my buddy's stage 2 cobalt didn't even pull me that hard. Notice I start like 2-3 cars behind him in the opposite lane and he ends up like 7-8 cars ahead of me. so he only pulls like 4-5 cars on me and I'm not assuming that off just that video. We've raced time and time again with that outcome. Him only about 4-5 cars ahead of me. With his tune gone, we're even. as for integra, I'm sorry it's slow. lol. nothing I can do about his car.

Have you dyno'd or raced your car yet? I'd be interested to see what it puts down. A 60-1 on a GS-R would be easily over 300whp on 8-9psi. Could have been an LS maybe? I'm not doubting you, I just happen to be into Hondas and I know exactly how fast that car should be.

the teg said he was only boosting like 5psi so that might explain it. I haven't dynoed, I'm broke. Notice my sig says $5 in mods. the one time I was as the strip, it was so hot and humid that everyone was running really slow and I was having clutch slippage. It was so hot that a stock sti that was running mid 13's just a couple weeks before was on running mid 14's that day.

when I figure out why my clutch slips sometimes and sometimes not, we'll do it. It's like, one race it's perfectly fine, then the next race it slips. WTF?

Ironically the RL had the same problem for the first 20k miles. It seems to have self corrected and I never figured out what caused it.

yea, and it totally sucks too. You can go from absolutely smashing a car to slightly losing just cause you have to keep letting out to let your clutch catch.

hey guys since im new here and i dont no how to make a thread on my own im just gonna ask a quick question. my buddy has a friend whos got an infinity g35 and the kid is a cocky ************ and keeps talking **** about my ss/sc saying hell blow it away because we only have 205 hp while he has 285. he has money cuz his grandmother died recently and said hed bet money. my friend has drivier both cars and says ill own him. we want to do best outta three, from a dead stop, a 20 roll, and a 40 roll. so im thinking about betting 500 bucks and depending on what you guys think ill go through with it put some money aside for stage 2. both cars are stock by the way

stock for stock he'll probably beat you, but not by much the car that I have raced the most is g35's becuase I love picking on them. But that was only after stage 2. Get stage 2 and then go spank him. Dont bet money use it for stage 2.

From a low roll (25-35mph) the Redline stays about 1-2 cars ahead of a 350Z until 4th gear. Should be a driver's race with a G35. Hell, if it's auto you'll probably take him good.

never raced in auto so im not sure how much slower they are. Once again Dont bet money and go race him. Than go get Stage 2 and race him again. That's my advice,

sorry for the hi-jack rally

thanks for highjacking the living **** out of my thread. this is totally irrelevant to what my post is.

sorry, that's the first time I've ever been **** on this forum, but that is just retarded.
