BTW couldn't pull the fenders yesterday (unable too) so I'll be working a little magic in the rear hopefully sometime this week... hopefully fix my rubbing issues. Maybe ill make my way to an exhaust shop this week as well to get my new resonator ordered and installed. Getting tired of it rattling, especially when its cold starting. It is unfortunate cause it sounds $$$ at WOT.

 

RTfS is cake to install. Get the one that mounts on the cowl. I think with the tvs it won't fit by the fuel rail.

I love the factory LSJ wheels.... that's why I will never part with mine even though the wife wants me to sell them. I may get them powder coated some day, and rock them again.

it fits i gaurantee it, the issue is that oil changes are prooobably going to suck. I don't know yet cause i havent changed the oil but it fits.

Changing the filter isn't bad. I can do it from the top but since the car is up off the ground anyway, you can reach up from the bottom. Either way

 

Oh yeah we had to cut the coolant return line bracket that bolts in above the filter; no big deal for that. Might have just been our case too cause we had to take it all on and off a few times haha

 

i usually change my oil filter through the top. tight squeeze with the blower, throttle body and sensors over there.

 

yep its enough fun with the m62 in the way. not excited to do my change soon. will report my experience. haha

Also, I was looking at my resonator options... made a thread about the vibrant after measuring and speaking with some people it looks like it may not fit. Mr.Belvedere forgot to take his medicine yesterday and locked my thread for no reason. Strong management is strong.

Anyways... long story short - looked at the vibrant ultra quiet resonator, then a huge magna flow. Ended up getting my ZZP resonator warrantied so another one is coming my way. Guess I'll give them one more shot (supposedly the fixed some of the internal welds since my last one.) 4th times a charm

productive day. successfully shimmed the rear hubs. **** i don't wanna do that again. Had to take off all the brake components and rear suspension out to get to the hubs. Needed to Grind the top of the caliper as well so the rotor could spring freely. Probably only at -2ish degree camber. Looks tight. Handling seems to improved as well on hard turns but I only was driving around for 5 minutes on my test drive so hard to tell right now.

Since my rear suspension was out I decided it was a good time to also make a top bracket for the rear springs since I took my perches out couple weeks ago. This little rubber piece replaced the perches. I just made it from some plastic **** I had laying around and they work mint. someone asked (maybe it was me lol) if you can take out the perches of the rear springs without worrying if they will pop out. Let me tell you they won't. I had to pry those motherfuckas out.

I was feeling a bit frisky and modified my fenders a touch... aka grinded some edges off on the underside

Finally no more rubbing. Tucking the stockers hard on all four corners.

ZZP resonator came in today... wtf got that in a day. Nice job zzp. Going to the gym now so maybe Ill put it on another day.

 

I never use perches and my springs are small as hell. Never had a problem with them falling out either. You still have the lips on the quarter panels? Cut those ******* off haha

 

what springs you on? Randys or swift? I think i remember you saying you run randys bc coils.

and I'm like you... fenders got all types of **** going on lmao. Rolled, pulled, etc.... and then every couple of months ill get a grinder and have a little fun with it I Should be fine for good moving forward now, even with my varrstoens setup on.

 

I dremeled the lips off the quarters and then ground them flat. Problem solved. And yes i have randys coilovers.
