Like son, like... father???
So shortly after I started my project, my dad got "inspired" to have a project car as well. So two weeks later, on the trailer rolls up a $200 '89 Firebird. Piece of ****. After months of work and labor, it finally lives. I had a '73 GMC truck, that donated the drivetrain (mild 355 SBC, and FULLY built TH-400 trans w/ 3500 stall and reverse manual valve body). We ditched the crappy intake mani and carb, and used a Holley high rise intake, with a 750 double pumper, and a set of Hooker 1 3/4" headers. Got a set of SSBC brakes up front, and a set of M/T 26.5x9x15 slicks for the back. Got some gauges, gutted the interior, and did some other misc junk to it. Brought it home from the shop today, and drove it off the trailer... and around the block for some domestic disturbance (open headers). My dad is gonna braket race it, and for what it is, it should do just fine. I'm a little pissed that he finished his project before me, but then again, THE HEAD ALONE on my engine, is worth more than his entire car
It should run mid-low 14's, since the intake mani and car are WAY too much for the heads/cam. Still it will run what it runs, and as long as its consistent it should do fine.
Sittin in the driveway (temporarily)

Big meats on the back, if only it had enough power to USE them

Mild 355, got a set of Edelbrock iron heads, and RV cam, stock bottom end

Simple, but it gets the job done

I say we paint it brown and call it the FIRETURD!!!
