Painted Rims this weekend, check it out.
well, my rims were chipping away so i wanted to do something about it.
i wanted a flat black look, but i wanted a clean look.
so here it is.
heres what they used to look like.
i used about 4 coats of flat black as a primer, because 3 cans of flat black at 94 cents a can, ya cant beat it lol
i used duplicolor gloss black as the base coat.
instead of rattle canning the clear, i decided to do it the right way, and clear it with a gun to give it the durability. i didnt about 3 coats of clear.
im going to wetsand and buff them in a few days after they cure completely.
heres the best part, i used this electric lime green color last time i used my gun, and knowing i shouldve right then i never cleaned my gun out. so i cleaned it 5 mins before i sprayed the clear and the reducer in the clear, washed out the rest of the green and mixed it in with the clear. so now my black has a green metallic flake in it.
Enjoy!
