last night my friend got hit and his cobalts gone. he was sent to the hospital and the person of the other car. he was turning left and a car was comeing the other way and hit him and then sent the cobalt slideing into another car not doint alot of damage to the other car. there trying to figure out everything now but the cop said that the amount of damage could have been from a 15mph impact and i wanted to tell the cop to stop smokeing crack. he is looking to get another cobalt his was a 2007 LS 5 speed hes going to let me no more but the end of the week. heres some pics of the car do you think this was from a 15mph crash? i dont

I took a hyundai sante fe doing 20 and did less damage than that.

 

damn that sucks man. i find it funny though how his airbags went off at "15 mph" but mine diddnt go off at 80mph ....

 

Tell him to grab parts and part out whats left. rear deck, spoilers and other things like that.

i took a lexus into the back right of my dad's audi s4 at prob at least 40, and did a hell of a lot less damage then this. that cop is smoking something good.

 

The other person had to have been going atleast 40 mph to do that much damage.

 

thats what im saying that the person was going 40mph+ and its a 35mph zone. the rear spoiler he put it on it didnt come with one and i told him to get it but his dad wanted him to leave it. he did take his subs and headunit out of it the car only has 6000k

 

i hit a 4-door cobalt at 45 with my old mustang and did less damage than that...

 

looks like the dash flexed pretty good. That hit was at least 40. If that guy hit him doing 25 he hit him in such a way.... thats for sure.

 

it depends on what kind of car hit him. if small car hit him at 15 it wouldnt do that but if he got hit by a big car like a caddy or something then maybe.

j/k tho, glad hes ok. id say right off the bat its totalled. you gotta figure, a-pillar, floor replacement (cause its prolly kinked), a whole door, restructuring the unibody, suspension damage....list goes on and on...

thats about what my g35 looked like and i got hit at 45-50mph in my drivers door

not sure what brand it was i only saw it once and it was 3 10s in it ill ask him thursday we are going to go look for another car for him. i asked him what kinda car hit him and he said it was black and thats all he new and that it was also really bad to
