dont mean to thread jack or anything, but i just tried rolling shots yesterday with a few buddies.
saying its difficult is putting it nicely. sticking out the window, @ speed, trying to balance shutter speed and everything while keeping the camera still. dammit was it a pain in the ass.
not sure how fast u were going in ur pics but when i was shooting it was done @ 40km/h so the background blur is not the best.

and one of my car. my buddies jetta is way to bouncy to take good shots from lol. my car even tho on coilovers is suprisignly tamed.lol

camera is a cannon rebel Xti, iso-100, shutter between 1/40 - 1/80.

haha yes it is hard. Shoot lots and lots of pictures.
60mph @ 1/60th is what mine are at.
I read the rule was 1/MPH is the same is 1/Shutter speed. And the car driving next to you has to be the same speed.
PS. NICE SHOTS!

I bought the new Canon 3Ti a couple weeks ago.....it's amazing. I also bought a 70-300mm lens and some accessories. I have some photoshoots planned for SURE when I get back from Korea.....too bad it will be winter. TX winters are mild though so we will see. Nice pics man....two moving cars makes it hard but you pulled off some nice shots. Well done.
Couple tips. 1/60 is about the fastest shutter speed you will want to use. Try even slower but you have to make sure the camera operator "pans" are relative to the car.
Try a few of these shots: Use a tripod and find a "scene" that you want your car in to show it's speed and keep everything else still. Tripod is almost a MUST. Blurring your car in certain scenerios can be just as cool. Even slower shutter speed and just let the car in this case pass through the "scene".
You might already know how to do this but I didn't see one pic of this so thought I'd throw it out there.
Remember to "pre-focus" the lens on where the car will pass.....and use the burst setting to increase your success rate to make it not so frustrating. Good luck and again, nice pics!

interesting little tips guys, thanks.
oddly enought my best shots, and the ones i posted have a 1/25 shutter speed, my speed @40km/h = 25mph. amazing.
i gotta try that ti-pod thingy.
i forgot to mention how nicely ur pics came out. good job.
