we dont have to deal with your opinion when it attacks a veteran member of the site. when you disagree with a group and make false claims since nothing has been proven otherwise, you should expect to get flammed and shouldnt complain about that fact. if someone goes on another forum and says something of the same nature they should expect the same thing in return. Why are there so many ass-hats that drive srt4's, is it just the car that attracts you type of ppl. you suck at life and are going nowhere so decide to buy an srt4 because it's cheap and goes fast so than you'll be cool....get a life man. I dont get why everyone is bustin each others ***** here, we (cobalts and SRTs) need to be good model reps for the American compact tuner scene. As for the times that Devin ran, yeah they are kind of slow but thats ONLY because of the insane torque that the SRTs have so he just spun 1st and 2nd down the track. With radials or slicks that is a VERY low 12 sec car. So please stop arguing over this, and the main point

I wish GM would have made the ecotec motor a 2.4 liter and had it boosting 14 psi from the factory like dodge did, that way the cobalt and the srt4 would be on more equal ground from the get go. even still, the srt4 has some crazy torque which nearly makes up for the turbo lag, which isnt bad at all.

 

Actually the SRT-4 only boost 12 psi stock. And yes the TQ numbers on the SRT-4s are outrageous. Too bad the new caliber srt-4 is nothing like the neon TQ. I think they are rated at like 300hp/280tq. Even still, I wouldn't buy one. I just can't get past the ugly SUV hatchback crap!

Also on a lighter note. To the guy saying something about rolling the rear windows down. Atleast i can **** bitches in the backseat without having to move the passanger seat forwards and having to crawl in.

congratulations, if you have a 385 hp car and 400 ft lbs then your car is incredibly slow. that is enough hp and tq to be in the 11's easy. and trust me moron there is no way in hell you have had your cobalt longer than me. please tell me your reasoning as to why my car can not outrun a GTO? you say your cobalt could not do that yet i have run 1000 foot times that would come out to a very low 13 second 1/4. LS1 GTO's, not to mention with passengers DO NOT RUN THAT FAST. do some research dip ****

12.7 = Before Cams, on street tires with like 30-40% tread left, basically just a minor bolt-on stage 2 SRT. that wwas burning out all of 1st and most of second.

I have not ran the car yet with DR's and the cams installed due to the tracks being closed for the holidays.

well we know u cant drive in a straight line so lets see how that neon does on a road course. and if its so great why is dodge replacing it with a 5 door wagon?!?! And for the person who is gettin all pissy cuz we are just as bad as the flamer or w/e its one thing to say devin likes the srt-4 but stu doesnt.
