To further support the OP I'll say that my LS1 Vette does 12.9-13.2 E.T.'s. Granted, the Vette has a better suspension than the other LS1 powered cars
And the vette is Lighter....and the vette has wider tires...and the vette has more horse...all those equal more than just .2 or.3 seconds in the quartemile time.

You don't need a 13.3 second cobalt to beat a LS1 powered car short of the corvette.

Not to drag this out anymore than it already has...but a 2000 Vette isn't all that much lighter than the Camaro's and WS6's and what not. To the point that it is negligable. They are all pretty close in weight. Mine's somewhere around 3450lbs, which isn't light nowadays. 350hp, 350ft/lbs and 3450lbs, 3600lbs w/ me in it. Tires aren't anything wider than my buddies WS6 tires either. Mainly, the my car has about 20hp, and 20ft/lbs more than his WS6, and a superior suspension allowing for significantly more traction. Plus the Vette is just darn easy to go fast in.

and you kind of missed my point when I said a 13.3 or better will make a match out of ANY LS1, that includes LS1 Vette's, Camaro's, and Bird's of all sorts. Vette's will be super close, and Camaro's and Bird's, as long as their stock, will lose to that E.T.

And I get what you are saying. but I thought the 2000 vette weighed 3200 lbs give or take? Still lighter than the standard F-body...
350 horse compared to 320 hp of the WS6 (depending on year)?
Still Higher horse...
Better suspension than the WS6 (unless you are talking bilstein II package WS6 which they stopped sending to SLP in 2000 so I doubt if it was a 2000 or later WS6 it would have that package)?
Still better launches...

Your right not HUGE differences..but they are still differences and they all add up.

Even 100 lbs is .1 fast in the Quarter..so is the 30 horse diff..and I am sure your 60 ft times are at least .1 sec faster...all together a good .3 sec in the quarter.

I am stating all of these facts because there are guys on here who do not think that a 13.8 sec cobalt can hang with a stock LS1 (even from a roll) and they are wrong...VERY wrong.
