Like I said, I've done it before. I know what it looks like

I don't wanna say that its a good thing, but i've learned a **** load about these cars by trial and error...

I have this sitting in the garage as well if you can't find a block. It has a couple smoked pistons in it (too much nitrous on a stage tune), but block should be solid. Gonna pull it apart next week and survey the damage

Yeah, yours was the regular garden variety LSJ blow-up, nothing major.

Oh, and why did you guys drop the entire front end of the car out just to get at the motor? Thats gonna be a bitch to put back in...

Yea I'll post umm up tonight after work. I pretty much just went home and passed the hell out.

The whole subframe and everything is already back in the car. It just ended up being easier at the time to do it that way. Having a lift helped more than anything.

I've done it like that as well, its not bad, but taking everything in one shot makes it a little hard to line it all back up, and you kinda take out more than you need to. Either way works I guess.

I could probably drop the entire setup like that in about 1.5 hrs now, in the driveway

C'mon now, like half of that is just upgrade parts, and the TVS alone is $2300...

Just to fix the block (get another one), upgrade pistons, arp studs and HG, less than $1500.

I have a set of used ARP head studs if you wanted, they were only in my engine for about 5K miles. I'd take $80 shipped for them.

Pretty nice build list there and I know it's not done yet. That car should be ridiculous when it's done.

I haven't replaced anything yet, just driving my beater until I decide what I feel like doing. I want a 350Z with the HR motor, the potential they have is amazing. Nothing is set in stone yet though.
