06 cobalt lt water leaking

every time it rains i get a puddle in my drivers footwell. ive searched this site and many sites but there was no resolution to the problem. i do not have a sunroof. i checked under the dash but appears to be dry. it must be coming from the door. anyone actually fix this issue?

my first thought was the sunroof drain tube, but thats not it obviously. does it also leak when ya wash it? i would imagine so. only think i can think of is to removed the A-pillar, driver side visor / vanity mirror, and pull the headliner down a bit and then have someone spray water on your car while you are inside.

no leaks when i wash it. it has to be a good amount of rain to show up on my floor board. im going to pull the door panel and kick panel off and see if its coming in from there. where does the water drain when it goes into the cowl panel where the wiper motor sits?

The cowl drains down to the side of the car, I would suggest to check that area. It has to be able to drain pretty freely, and it's easy to get the drains clogged with leaves and crap if you park under a tree or something.

Try running a hose in the area and look around inside, see if it's leaking there. Then just pull the cowl panel up and look for the blockage.

It's possible it's your door seal, but usually with the design of the door frame that won't leak into the car unless you have some serious cross wind, as the frame is smaller than the door. The water would have to make a turn and go over the frame to get into the interior, and that's just not very likely.
