My girlfriend has an 06 SS (2.4L). Once in awhile when I go to start it up, the car will knock & rattle for a few seconds. She said it has done it since new, but curious if you guys would know anything about it?

Stealership said they cannot recreate the problem so she is SOL.

 

maybe a injector is not properly

 

I have this problem too. Had the car since Sept 06, hasn't caused a problem yet, and most of the time it doesn't do it

 

I know i talked to my dealerships mechanic and there is a sensor on the engine has to do with air and when you first start your car that it sounds like the car is knocking but its only ticking and he showed me on another car like mine that was not started and sure enough it did it but if it is on going then there would be a problem
