well my 06 LS w/ a 5 speed has problems w/ 3rd gear. every time i shift into it i get a grind, from 2nd to 3rd or from 4th down to 3rd. its the same. but its worse from 4th to 3rd. every other gear seems to be fine.

so im going to take it into the dealer on monday after skool. any thoughts on whats the problem? it doesnt slip as much as it just grinds even with the clutch is ALL the way to the floor. kinda pisses me off considering the car is literally like only 9977 miles to date.

o well gimme some feedback guys. anyone else have a problem or knows whats the matter or how long my cars gonna prolly be out for??

Sounds like your going to be kissing a tranny good bye to me. Hopefully they warranty whatever it is

If I were you I'd take it in ASAP. Grinding even when the clutch is all the way to the floor = bad synchros.

 

ya i took it in. turns out they are gonna have to rebuild the tranny. the guys on vacation for a week so i gotta drive my car as is for a while kinda bumming me out.

skipping 3rd all day makes me sad but i think my car is getting use to skipping it now. its soo lame that i have to do this when the cars got 10,000 miles on it. im never gonna have luck with transmissions. this is one reason why i sold my buick and bought my car in the first place.
