09' Cobalt SS Brake Squeaking??

i just bought a 2009 SS with only 13500 miles on it and the brakes are squeaking already?? does anyone else have this problem? the lady i bought it from took it in at 5ooo miles to see what was wrong and got a letter from Gm saying this is normal for the brembo brakes... and should not be replaced under warrenty... just seems a brand new car shouldnt have brake problems... so just seeing what others thoughts on this are. thanks

He's talking about the front brakes. Not a premature wear issue.. just a noise issue.

Yes, its normal. I even talked to my service manager and shop foreman. Even though I'm a dealer employee they can't replace the pads or do anything because of that bulletin.

I have a temporary fix. This stopped the noise for a few weeks... maybe a month. I removed both sets of front pads and removed the dust from the beveled edge of the pads. After I put them back in they were quiet again.

I've just learned to live with it.

its actually very simple.
you need to set the brakes, I do it every spring..

basicallt if you driv elike a sally and use the brakes very sparingly they will get a glaze on them, hence the swkeeeeeks and stuff when you stop.

go out on a very non busy road and hammer the brakes on from like 50 or so, do it like 10 times, and your good...they will be quiet as they can be....make sure you use the brakes pretty hard.
