2nd gear gone again

Well as some of you may remember I had 2nd gear replaced around 21,000 miles under a year ago(LINKY). Well now its shot again at 51,000. I don't think its the way I drive because I always put the clutch to the floor to shift and I dont fight the synchros when I shift. So what gives?

I talked to GM already and they said they only warranty it for 12,000 or 1 year. So I'm up **** creek without a paddle. Anybody know how much it will cost to fix this?

the car is still under warranty? I'd be talking to the district GM rep about it...

but for the mean time you might want to consider putting the airbox and exhaust back to stock... to quell any "abuse" claims they may have...

They cant do anything about the intake or exhaust, it's completely on them to prove that I abused it.

you don't really hear about people lossing a gear twice that often. i'm not saying your a bad driver but your clearly doing something wrong. and as for gm saying that its not under warranty. screw that. powertrain should be 60k. and if the replace it once before that one should have its own warranty.

It seems like it should be covered, but they may try to claim that you abused it. It is odd that you have blown second twice. Do you powershift at redline into second or something?

No, I never powershift. Although dropping the clutch hard into 2nd has happened at the strip a few times. That is most likely the cause.
