Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

after the new radiator goes on? help

after the new radiator goes on? help

so after i get my new radiator on tomorrow. can i just fill the resivior and go? do i have to bleed it in a sence some how? help please

you should be able to fill it up and start it let it Idle for a bit then check the level of fluid. if it needs more ad more.

pretty much the same concept as an oil change. at least that's how i do it.

Leave the top hose off while you fill it through the overflow bottle. When fluid starts coming out put the hose back on and finish filling. Leaving the hose off will let the fluid push any air in the system out. If you don't do this the system is pretty much sealed and traped air has no where to go (bad). Check it pretty often for a few days to make sure it is full As any air in the system works its way out your fluid could go down. That would be normal, don't worry about topping off for a few days. Watch your temp because air in the system could cause overheating. If you notice temp going up, I would say to VERY carfully loosen the radiator cap to release air. It will be HOT and under preasure.
