Blower motor burned wires.HELP!!!!!!!

Blower motor burned wires.HELP!!!!!!!

Got a 2007 Cobalt. Started smelling wires burning the other day so shut off fan. Looked under dash and blower motor wires melted and connector melted also. What could cause this?

Your blower motor resistor wasn't resisting anymore.

Where is this resistor? Is it part of the connector?

So I am still trying to figure this one out... Blower checks out,but no power to it... Checked fuses and they are ok, but no power to them...Do I pull the dash and check the Controls? Really need schematic if anyone has one...PLEASE!

Have u checked the hvac panel cuz mine was melted where the main power plugs into it and will not power up my blower motor anymore
