My car is doing the same thing. Sometimes it wont latch and then it wont open. I am taking the door apart this weekend. Its enough to **** you off when you are in a hurry. lol.

It's not broken but something is wrong, both my doors do this as well but only occasionally in cold weather and the only solution I have found so far is to pull the outside handle a few times really quick, like jiggling it or something. Works 100% of the time, typically pretty quickly.
Now that I think about it, the cables going to the latch release might be getting stuck, or the release itself is stuck.

the only thing that works to make mine open is to pull on the handle fast alot till it opens. Becareful though, the handles are only plastic and i am going to be replacing mine cuz i pulled too hard.

Ok just got my car back from the chevy dealer. If this happens to you its magnified by the cold. They need to be greesed and in most cases if they have been doing it for a month or so the latch is totally shot and they will replace it under warranty as part of the TSB, I dont have the number but take it to your chevy dealer cause it actually is a big problem
