The Other Night On They Way Home I Hit A Hole In The Street And It Shut My Car Off. I'm Running 215-35-18 Plus It Was A Big Hole Which Means It Was A Very Hard Hit. I Coasted To A Stop Turned The Ignition Off, Turned It Back On And Everything Has Been Fine Since, What Could Have Caused This?

Probably jostled your wad of keys hanging from the ignition and turned them back slightly.Also you could have banged them with your knee and not noticed.

 

It was the keys it happened again a couple days later.

 

It wasnt necessarily the keys... you probably tripped the emergency cut off.... it has happened to me a couple times. There is a killswitch built into the car in case you get into an accident, the engine cuts and reduces the danger. I have hit a few nasty potholes and the car goes dead. You don't have to pull off the road, throw the car in neutral and turn the key and the car will start right up. (at least for a n auto, I imagine in a manual you could just pop it back into gear)

I went airborne in my car during an accident and she stood running like nothing.

 

3 sep times now, i have downshifted pretty hard on the freeway and my cars speedo, and the lil display stops working....i have to park it and let it sit for like at least 30min and then viola...its all better....when this happens it displays "power steering" in the lil dash display and nothing else...everything runs fine...drives fine...just no speedo or display! and its not the ecu...i have checked all the connections on that. same thing maybe??? anyone got any ideas??

 

I have hit a huge pot hole as well and the car shut off. I was thinking it was some kind of safety feature as well. Fired right back up no problems.

 

i have had the same problem, i am at an intersection, and light turns red (me making a left turn), when i go through the light someone runs the red, so i have to punch it and go alot faster. car shuts off and i barley make it through the lights, almost getting t-boned (3times now)
tell the dealer, once the car sounded like apsolute **** (will try to post vid)...
dealer cant find whats wrong (GM headquarters wont do **** about it)

and we dont have a lemon law up here in Canada
