Car died 1st gear @ 6500rpm?
So I was jumping out from a strip mall across two lanes of traffic into a center turning lane. I wound out first gear and at 6500-6700rpm the car just died. I rolled to a stop in the turning lane and tried to restart but got nothing... Car cranked, one or two cylinders fired and stalled. This happened thee or four more times. Of course I didn't have my cell phone because I was just running to the hardware store for something a few blocks from my house... I popped the hood, dip stick was still seated, no oil anywhere, no smoke or anything out of the norm. After ten minutes I cranked it again and it started right up like nothing happened... Car idled and ran smooth right up to the redline through the gears... WTF happened?
i had this happen once, it might have something to do with winding it out so high. mine died the same way, and i just let it sit for a while and it was fine. my buddy said it probably had something to do with the fuel delivery.
Nice... That's the last time I hand wash it!
Really strange... I have hammered it way harder than this before. That will be in the back of my mind from now on pulling out into traffic...
