Car stuck after sitting overnight

The past couple days when I start up the car I gotta give it some gas to get it to move and break loose. Seems like its stuck or something and wont move and then I give it a bit of gas and itll pop and start moving freely. Happens when I first try to use it in the morning, and then when im leaving for work at the end of day. I dont use the ebrake, just keep it in first when I park it. Brakes dont seem to be locked up. Its almost like wheels are just jammed and then I give it a tiny bit of gas and it breaks loose and everything is fine.

I would try that except my ebrake cable kep popping off cause the cable is stretched out. Wont hold the car if its on on decent inclines anymore, so I dont trust it. Hence i've been putting it in gear for the past few months.

Zip tie it into the hold in the center console.

Yea, the auto shop did that when I last took it there. Cable it just too stretched out though. Gotta yank the brake up as far as humanly possible now a days to get it to fully hold the car. So i dont even bother, just keep it in gear. Getting rid of the car in April.

Adjust the cable then.

IDK what else to tell you.
Only way to determine if it is the trans itself you are against.
Good luck sir.

Yea, was thinking that also but it was unussually warm yesterday, 68 degrees. So doubt that was it.

At work now so I tried parking the opposite direction I normally do and then putting it into reverse instead of first. I'll see how it is when I go to lunch in a few hours.

i mean this is just my opinion buttt...... your letting your car sit on an incline locked into gear ?

that dont sound too transmission friendly to me ... i mean its used as a precautionary measure if your ebrake fails but to let it sit there all day with all the stress on the gear ...

Its not really on that much of an incline, almost a flat surface in the parking lot. However I always read people here who say they never used there ebrake and just put it into gear.

It's frozen to the ground.

Just turn your wheels left to right before trying to drive.

my car does the same, even with no ebrake, if its stormy and snow blows onto brakes after uv used them it freezes them, easy fix if u cant get it going, get a pail of hot water and throw it on the brakes. then get in and drive and brake till they are dry. that's what I had to do no to long ago
