Change my oil, everything goes well. Start the car up to back it off the ramps when I notice my CEL light stays on. Oh **** I forgot to plug that little wire harness back in right over the oil filter. So I turn it off, plug it back in and start it up, light still stays on...Car drives perfect..what gives? Do these things have to be reset?

 

might have to go through a tru reset cycle..it differs between cars. most of the time it has to go through a hot cold cylce with certain amount of mileage

 

Gotcha...I have a meeting for work tonight...should be ok right?

 

Just unplug the battery for ~15 minutes or so and it should be ok. If not bring it to autozone and have them clear the codes.

I've done that , i unplugged the battery for 2 minutes and fired it back up ... light out .
