Change Oil Soon

I've gotten my oil changed twice so far and the message still keeps coming up. I've asked the shop to reset it, but all of them say that they either "Don't do that" or "Don't know how to". Am I gonna have to go get my oil changed at the dealership or is there a way to do it yourself?

Your owners manual has instructions on how to reset the oil change reminder.

theres the two buttons that contol what it displays below the miles. you hold the button on the right then hit the one on the left while holding the one on the right. the display should say "oil life reset" if not hit the left button untill it does. then hit the button on the right to confirm the reset.

Does anyone know if there is another way to reset the Oil Reminder system other than through the dealer computer or through the button sequence? Weird thing happened on my '06 LS - when I was backing up - the car stalled out but it reset the oil reminder - didn't realize it until the next day when I was flipping through the DIC.
