Yesterday i went to go pick up my brother to go get something to eat and while i was outside the house parked with the car on sitting inside i hear this clunk noise every few seconds...No idea what the hell it was..Popped my hood checked to see if i could find it but nothing went back in the car and heard it again....

All im hoping is that its nothing bad!!!!!!!!
Any advise anyone??

 

Was your car warmed up?

I has a similar noise when the car is cold.

It's from the fuel pump in the back of the car.

Its sounds like three clunks and it only happens when the car is sitting at idle.

It goes away after a couple of minutes though when the car gets up to temp about 180 or so.

Nothing to worry about.

I get something like that too, alot actually, sometimes when the car is not even started but just shut off. Not too worried about it, just annoyed('07 LS)
