Alright basically I took in my cobalt for something a couple weeks ago (tire losing air or something) and was told my car would be needing control arm bushings (explains the clunk developing in suspension, can't tell if its front or rear) so they gave me a quote, knowing I wouldnt purchase from them I took it and added to the small list of things I need checked or replaced. Ive recently been looking online to order the bushings, but realized they never specified front or rear, so I got the quote out and it said L/F control arm bushings tearing out or something similar, which I thought was safe to assume lower front or possibly left front if they're being specific, but the part they listed was Moog 6698 which I looked up on summit and comes up lower rear bushings, are these bushings the same as the front? Summit doesn't have a front lower listed for my car from moog (preferred brand but open to ideas) just need some input on where I could get these, if the part numbers are the same for any of the bushings, etc

Also, summit has them listed as $9 and under quantity listed as "sold as pair" but in description states "each." Added one to my cart and only added one for $9, has anyone bought from them and are they in 2s or would I have to order qty of 2?

Edit : 2006 cobalt ss/sc

There are no control arms in the rear. Probably the left front, if its that bad you should be able to look at it yourself and see that its worn dude. Also, fairly sure you need a press for the bushing installation.

Only control arms are on the front. There are two bushings on the front control arm. . The one you likely need to replace is the rear bushing on the front control arm. If you can afford it buy the powell ones and never have to replace them again. Clear?

Their probably the rear of the control arm not literally a rear control arm bushings but ones at the rear of the control arm itself.

Ok ok still learning.. I would buy the Powell one but don't have any way to purchase, only a debit card no PayPal or any of that so I'm just looking to purchase straight offline, so it's safe to bet the rear bushing in the front need replacing? Or should I just replace all of the bushings while its being done?

And i don't actually plan on doing them myself just getting the parts I want to have installed by a shop

Powell makes really good CABs that are lifetime. I have them and they tighten up the suspension pretty good. Kind of costly, but lifetime and Race CABs are worth it.
