Just out of curiosity, is it normal for my car's electric fan to kick in even a few seconds after starting? If it's sitting in sunlight and I start it (coolant reading about 39 Celsius) the fan kicks on and stays on for a while.

If this is not normal, does anyone know what part may be the culprit?

 

When its hot out mine kicks on all the time and yes sometimes even righr after starting. Id say its normal.

 

mine are commanded to be on all the time basically lol. texas weather = extreme heat. south texas weather even worse

 

It'll kick on from time to time with the ac or defroster on even in the cool weather if you're sitting still long enough.
