cv shaft play???
cv shaft play???
just put my 17's on with 225/45 tires and i get a little click when i turn i think it might be the splash gaurd rubbing but i noticed i had some "in out" back and forth movement in both shafts there isnt any play in the joints themselves but wasnt sure if anyone would know if that play is normal thanks for the help
Should be a bit of in and out, needs to accomodate for the suspension movement. If the tripods are tight it sounds sort of normal.
Does it only click turning one way or the other? Does it happen sitting still or only moving?
If it only happens when moving it might just be a rub, have a good look in the wheel wells, it should leave some sort of mark.
If it happens while sitting still (and working the steering) it could be in the steering shaft / linkage. If you can get the front up on stands (please don't get under your car when its on a jack only) and have someone work the steering back and forth while you look and listen underneath you might be able to tell exactly where the noise is coming from.
Good luck and happy troubleshooting

Yeah, I've kinda got the same thing. If I turn my wheel back and forth whilst sitting still, I get a weird ass clicking and clunking noise.
I would bring it in for warranty, but I'm lowered on Sportlines.

I don't know what to do. It only started after I got lowered.
