Door Rub ( not the usual bottom )

I have a 2 door 2008 LT coupe and have noticed unusual door/body rub on the top of my passenger door. In a small spot where the door rubs or hits the body the paint on the body is completely gone to the metal and spreading is this common? i haven't read about it anywhere else. My car only has 4500 kms on it so needless to say i'm not to happy but the dealer will have to deal with it soon enough.
