My buddy's 06 ss/sc driver's door won't open. It doesn't feel like the handle is broken and door isn't locked lol.Said he got in drivers door left went to work went to get out drivers door and wouldn't open, had to climb out passenger side.......any ideals Thanks.

 

needs a door lock actuator.

 

how bad is that to replace can't get door panel off cause door won't open, less there is another way

 

Hold the handle and have your buddy push the door reeeeeeeally hard from the inside

 

that doesnt work. im a tech at a chevy dealer. you gotta take apart the door panel inside the car and have the window up so you can open the door with a srewdriver inside the door. its pretty easy if you know basic mechanics.

 

Smack the outside door panel where the latch is until the door can open with the handle, once its working soak the latch in wd40 to clean it out, then drench it in white lithium grease. You will never have this problem again.

Now, this will only work when it feels like there's no resistance when trying to open the door. What happens is the factory grease is garbage and can get very dirty, so you have to remove it all (with wd40) then apply a GOOD grease (white lithium grease).
