Drivetrain moving around. help!

So I have been noticing an issue which keeps getting worse and worse - I am getting what feels like (and occasionally sounds like) drivetrain movement when backing up down a camberd driveway that meets another opposing hill at 45* (clunking) and then a more discreet feeling of movement when on/off the power and inaccuracy shifting. I feel like when autocrossing it has moved enough to pull the car out of gear! I just unbolted the mounts from the trans to see how they felt and both seem fine. I ordered a new rear mount because someone said theirs discentegrated and the sound seems to be coming from that side, but the old one seems to be just as stiff when I unbolt ot from the trans and move it around. The car does have 100k on it, but I auto-x a lot and don't need stuff breaking. I plan on running prothane everythang bushing wise, but want to fix this problem before I throw parts at the car. Ideas?

As an example, when I let off the power on the highway I can literally feel theengine/trans unload and shift fore/aft in a rocking motion. It is driving me batsh*t

Mine does that too and it feels awful. I think everyone with an lsj has the same issue. New engine and trans mounts did NOT solve it one bit

Its an LNF. I'm wondering if it is the upper trans mount...

I saw some info on someone filling it (its under the fusebox apparently).

Could this be a transmission issue?

CABS?

I'm very frustrated, I'm going to fix this - ASAP.

You on stock mounts? The stock tranny mounts are ridiculously soft. I threw on zzp tranny mounts and jt made it feel 100 times better. Don't Boyer butting another stock one on.

And if you have 100k and auto x a lot your cabs are probably toast. Grab some Powell cabs.

I wonder if the stock trans mount -The one under the fuse box- could be the issue

My car doesn't do it with zzp mounts. But the rest of the mounts only have 27k on them

It's the mounts being soft, contact Powell for his stage 1 mounts and ced for a new stock rear mount. My did that with worn ottp mounts replaced with Powells and stock, now it's gone

Good to know. I want spherical CABs but they are illegal in Street Touring class in the SCCA, so I have to either do poly or stock. I'll probably try poly til they break.
