Electrical problems during rainstorm!!

So tonight I got out of the theater around 10pm, there had been blowing rain for about 2 hours prior. But before the rain (8pm'ish) I had gone in the car to charge my phone, get stuff amounting to 3 or 4 times. At the end of the night I get in my car, turn the key, lightest click ive ever heard, so I figured I killed the battery, it sometimes happens when I leave the music on while I'm in the garage. With no booster cables I started it by compression... BAM starts up, i drive off, 1 or 2 kilometers down the road i loose power steering, headlights turn off, radio flickers off, window wipers move real slow, 5 seconds after that throttle gets choppy i floor it up the hill, it stalls and I park in a subway and get a tow home.

if its the alternater...fml...$$...

dont make fun of me please, if I ask stupid questions.

Get your charging system checked at autozone first before you assume jts the alternator.

$300 brand new for an AC Delco unit yeah, but there are cheaper aftermarket alternatives that would probably work just fine for $100+.
