Engine Pwr Reduced / Bouncing Idle

So I've recently bought a 06 cobalt ss sc

When i bought it, it had a bouncing idle normally between 1k - 1.4k. Sometimes it DOES idle normally though, then might start bouncing again here and there. Sometimes the bounce is so dramatic if i cut it out too fast that it almost stalls, give it a little gas and its fine again. But what causes this?
I was told it was the bigger injectors that may cause the bouncing in the idle

But today i turn on the car and the engine power reduced light was on, brought it to the shop and the code said it was a bad throttle positioning sensor. Would this also cause the bouncing idle?

Anything would help guys thanks, new to the cobalt warld =/

a bad TPS would definitely cause a bouncing idle, as well as a vacuum leak or many other things.

Any codes thrown?

Yes, I had a sticky throttle body from dirt and sensors wouldn't match and would give me engine power reduced.
Did it sitting at a light and freeway.. embarrassing ****. Car sounds like ass under EPR and will barely move.

I cleaned the throttle body real good and problem went away.

I'll be honest, I'm not even sure where the throttle body is I've never had to clean one, as well as the TP sensor, don't be harsh but will someone point them out for me?

cleaning it might not solve the problem since they tend to go bad most of the times so if thats the case just buy a new one. they go for $95 and its right between your intake and supercharger

Do I have to buy a certain type? Or will just any tb work, one for the ss sc cobalt of course. It is an aftermarket super charger will that make a difference?
