ive noticed this a few times, and it only lasts a few minutes at a time, so dealer will say "cannot find evidence of owner's report" blah blah blah...

when my car is sitting idle, engine on and parked (neutral), from inside the motor i hear a clicking noise or ticking noise, maybe 5 ticks in a row, then stops for a few seconds, then starts again. its pretty loud....anyone know what this is?

 

maybe you have a inconsistent fuel injector. The fuel injectors are pretty loud on these cars. how loud is the ticking? Are you listening with the hood open or are you listening within the car?
