ever consider doing it yourself? its really easy w/ basic tools, at least for a ss/sc idk bout the base models. and 300$ is WAY too much to pay for exhaust installation.

why do you have to do it at a dealer? 300 is a complete rip off. where do you live?

I did it on my base model. It was very, very simple. All you have to do is cut the stock exhaust, undo two bolts after the cat, and pull the old system off of the rubber hangers. Installation is just as simple. If you can turn a wrench, you can install this system. (And I mean literally, not figuratively )

It took me longer to jack up my car and get it on stands, than it took to put on my exhaust. It is a real simple and quick install.

maybe you should show your father that it's literally 2 bolts, and that's it. unscrew 2 bolts, only other thing is to cut the stock so it comes over the axle. then just put the new one on, and tighten it down. there's nothing to mess up at all.

well, for the dealer price, call a local exhaust shop and ask them, and then pay much more than that. i wouldn't expect it to be more than an hours labor, if they quote you more than an hour they are ripping you off. labor rates vary so there's no way someone can give you a price.

does he know anything about cars at all? just seems odd, because if he does he knows how straight forward it is, and that there's not anything to mess up. and if he doesn't, how would he know if anything was messed up?

Tell him you thought this could be something you and him do together... really no sense in wasting $300

I didn't have the time or place to do mine so I took it too the deal to have the exhaust installed. They only charged me $100. It is only like an hour job. I wouldn't pay more then $150. $300 is WAY too much.
