Fluids

Does anyone know what type of fluid in in the small reservoir in front of the SC? It's getting low and i'm not sure what to fill it with. I have heard that it's just coolant or 50/50?

Can anyone help i'm going on a road trip in a couple of days.

I am pretty sure it is a 50/50 mix or the same mix you would use in your engines coolant system. It is in the owners manual somewhere. And I think it says to fill it up to the level where the neck meets the coolant lines. My level fluctuates. Sometimes it is about level with the neck and other times it is up the neck an inch or so.

Yes it is a 50/50 dexcool water mix for your heat exchanger.....

It's supposed to be low like that, there is a line at the very bottom of the neck... don't fill it past that line!

If you are going to add a little think about using Redline Water Wetter. Follow the instructions and only use what it says to use and it will make your intercooler laminovas a little more efficient at removing heat from the compressed air in your intake. It probably doesn't make a big difference but anything is better than nothing. A full bottle of Water Wetter will treat the engine coolant and the intercooler coolant if you measure it according to the instructions and it will not hurt anything.

So...I shouldn't use coolant/anti-freeze mixture?

Coolant and Anti-freeze are the same thing! Use DEXCOOL 50/50 its already mixed for you!

Or just use Water Wetter to fill it to the line!

No, use the DEXCOOL mix if you want to. Water Wetter just makes the DEXCOOL a little more efficient at removing heat. If your coolant is level with the bottom of the neck it is fine. Don't overfill it to much. A 50/50 mix is fine. I siphoned some coolant out of mine and replaced it with Water Wetter according to the instructions on the bottle but don't overfill it.

Wouldn't that mean the main coolant tank is low? It's just an indicator tank.

The engine and intercooler are different systems . The intercooler filler neck has a cold line on it that is pretty far down the neck. Dont overfill it as it needs room for expansion
