fuel milage and performance issues

I have owned my 2008 chevy cobalt sport for 2 months now and I was wondering if 23.5 mpgs is average for the 2.4 vvt motor and I have been hearing that u can see a diffrence in both fuel milage and performance if if you seafoam the intake threw vacum and seaform the motor to help with sludge...any advice would be greatly appreciated

Depends on how you drive and if your an auto or 5spd. But also realize most places are using winter fuels right now.

Im an auto and during the summer I average around 26.2-26.6
Right now I have an exhaust leak (gasket blew out) and im down around 23.1 or so.
