Fuel Pressure problem

So, after 3 months, I have finally got the car back together.

Problem is it is throwing a P0087 code (fuel pressure too low). I have read and read and every says it is the HPFP failing, so I replaced that. No change. I clear the code and it pops back up within 5 seconds.

Other things point to it possibly being the fuel rail itself but I would like some input before I drop the cash on one of those. There is a loud ticking when the car is running coming from the fuel pump area. I know the car does that some, but this is a little louder and more continuous than I remember it being. I will try to get a video of it to post up.

Any input will help so that I don't waste my money changing stuff that doesn't need to be changed.

Thanks.

Did you replace the hpfp lines? Did you check the fuel rail sensor?

Which lines need to be replaced?

And how would I go about checking the sensor? I'm pretty new to the fuel system area.
