Help! - need info on replacing driver's rear turn signal

So I've just discovered that to replace the $5 turn signal bulb it looks like I need to remove the factory sub just to be able to remove the trunk liner and then get access to the bulb/harness.

The problem is that I can't tell what size nut is holding the sub in place. It is going to take a deep socket (which I don't have) so I want to know what size I need before I go out and buy one. Has anyone done this and remember what size the nuts are?

I did a search and couldn't find a how to or anything on replacing this bulb.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have the supercharged coupe.

Well, if anyone needs to do this in the future you need a 10 mm deep socket plus an extension. I never thought changing a light bulb would take more than 5 minutes, until I looked in the trunk of my balt. oh well.

ya removing the sub is not required. just pull back the liner and put your hand in there. might get a few scratches and yes it is tight but still quick

Not sure about yours, but mine there are 3 plastic wingnuts holding the tail lights on. You can unscrew those with your hand by reaching into your trunk behind the assembly and the tail light comes right out. Very, very easy. Should take you 2 minutes for both

Actually I think you do have to remove the sub. Your niece might actually be able to turn this since she can fit her hand in there but I sure can’t haha
