I need to replace a driver side impact sensor on my 2006 Cobalt SS/SC. I was wondering is this sensor will work for my Cobalt and on the driver side? Here is the GM Part Number:

If you know where to find info for me, let me know. I was getting this code when I ran a diagnostic on my SS: B0085 LF Side Impact Sensor...plus my airbag light comes on. I am pretty sure this will take care of the light, right?

PLEASE HELP!

Yes thats the part number for the side impact sensor. But its kinda odd just for it to fail and cause a code, check the connection and try to diagnose it before replacing the part.

and usually its best to wait a day or to before bumping your thread

 

Right on, so i'm looking at the right sensor for my SS? Sorry about the bump...I am still pretty new at this...and now I know what that "bump" term means. haha It didn't just happen though, my car was hit on the driver side rear quarter and blew the airbag. I thought all the sensors were replaced, but I guess this was the one that wasn't

 

Ahh ic. Im pretty sure theres only one sensor per side. And where did the repairs get done at? The shop should have replaced that sensor, but seeing how they didn't, you should take the car back and they'll fix it.

 

Anyone know how to or know where a tutorial is for replacing the side airbag sensor?

Or where it is at?
