Is this the same on the 08/09 tc/ss cobalt? 6 quarts?
If YES wholly **** does this little thing take a lot of oil, does the non-SS's take that much oil?
My beretta only uses 4 quarts & fill the oil filter. 5/30 Mobil oil
My RL takes 6.5+ quarts to fill...I'd suggest adding more if you are confident there are no leaks.

As far as drinking oil, mine doesn't go through oil at all between oil changes. It'll still read exactly the same when I change it as it did when I filled it.
I don't "lose" oil either. Just to fill er up means 7 quarts bought at least 6 and half a bottle used.

I haven't checked my manual, do they really say to just use 6 quarts?

I've got a 7.5L Oldsmobile that only takes 5 quarts!

It can happen. My Cavalier ALWAYS took less than what they recommended. If you filled it like you were supposed to, it'd be WAY past full. When I lived at my old apartment, I had no place to do oil changes, so I was stuck with a quick lube place. Even if I told them otherwise, it would ALWAYS come back overfilled.

That's why every Walmart near an apartment complex always has various random people changing oil in the parking lot.

Yeeeeeeeeeah, except the Wal-Mart near my old place was a) quite a drive and b) closer to public housing projects than legit apartment buildings. It was a scary place to be in the daytime. The cav wasn't anything more than point-a-to-point-b transportation so I was OK with quick lube. I wouldn't dare go that route with a car like my SS.

Then you're not draining it all the way.
