hey guys...so this is the deal, my car seems to be searching for an idle position. it first started over the winter and eventually led to a severe engine misfire. i corrected the misfire via plugs. i have also replaced the MAF and fuel filter. it seems when the car is warm and i pull up to a stop or let off the gas with clutch in, it will idle down, but way down. then rev up and and go down and rev up again before it settles just below 1000rpm...does anyone have a clue as to what may be causing this or whats going on. i pulled the CAI off when i replaced my MAF. so i am running the stock intake with no mods. thanks

 

how long have u had the stg2 kit?

 

well, i have 45k now and i believe i installed it around 7k so about 38k

 

have you gone in for any of the updated flashes. if not take it in to reflash the most up to date program, thats should/might get rid of it

 

i havent had a flash since the original one. does this cost money? or does the dealer update you for free....hahaha...

 

should be free, just tell them you need the most up to date stage 2 reflash

by the way are your plugs copper or iridium because the part number you have in your sig is for iridiums but you say copper core

btw...yeah i noticed that...they are iridium and i was fixing it while you were replying/asking lol

 

a buddy of mine told me that a grounding kit will eliminate this from happening.. mine does that too but ussually its when i rev it harder than normal it will do this at a stop... i think apexi has a grounding kit for 200 bucks..

 

yeah, so i just spoke with my dealer and they informed me that there hasnt been any upgrades to the software since they new injectors came out. soooo yeah i dunno what that means except that they want $85 an hour to give it the same flash it has lol...

 

you should take your air filter out and clean it and also your massair flow you should do this ever once in a while

 

the dealer update if for free, my car was doing the same thing, idle bouncing and my car was shaking a little bit, they did reflash it for free and bang!@#@!# !@ the run idle like a charm.

 

Mine was doing it to and i pulled the intake off the supercharger and cleaned the Throttle body. there was alot of black gunk in there that seems to make the throttle body stick. It seems to be working good now. will let you guys now if anything changes. I also had the reflash but it didn't work.

 

hmmm, those are some good things to check into. like i said tho the dealer told me $80. i think cuz i am over the warranty mileage...sooo yeah i will inspect those other things and see what i come up with. thanks
