Injector fuse keeps blowing (HELP!!!)
Injector fuse keeps blowing (HELP!!!)
so last night i was driving and comin to a stop when all a suddden my car cuts out.. not gettin any response from the gas pedal. well i checked the fuse and my injector fuse had blown.... replaced it. started right up and drove normal. well tonight i was gettin on the highway when it did it again. and i fixed it the same way. drove fine for about 15 miles then did it again. This time i drove less than a block and it did it. Then after replacing the fuse agan i went about 30ft and it blew. So then i replaced it again. Went about 2 blocks and said im not even gonna try and get it home. So i parked it and got a ride....
anyone ever have this problem. I have an exhuast and if its an easy fix i would rather not take it to GM cause they will probly just black book my warrent.

if you put a bigger fuse in it you're going to create more problems. you have a short in that circuit that you need to find. check the harness for the fuel injectors, where the connector is between the fuse block and the engine. theres a part of the wiring harness that rubs on a bracket that holds an air condition line, it may have rubbed through and is shorting out.
just checked everything, down low, up high, every wire loom is in perfect condition, no wires are even burned or anything like that. no wires are touching anything hot. let the engine run for a little while, revved it up a bit, bam engine stopped running, fuse blew again.
can anybody help me out here? this is right after i got the trifecta tune, does anyone have any ideas as to why this little fuse keeps going out????????????????

annnnyyyyy ooooottthhheerr iiddddeeaasss????
Make sure there are not shorts in the wires?
Check the connectors and make sure they are all good and clean and tight!
That can cause extra load on the circuit if its arcing or has a poor connection.
connections are all good.
put a 15A in the slot, blew out also.
it seems to only happen when the car tries to die (bouncing around between 300-1300 rpms)............................................

May have to take to the dealer and have it scanned to see why its trying to die and what the cause is of that.
