Installed a Hurst shifter and now it wont go into 5th

I recently installed a hurst shifter in my 09 ss, I followed the directions step by step, even took it apart and did it again. I am sure it is installed right. However all the gears work except for 5th, it just WILL NOT pop into 5th gear for me no matter what and it will go into reverse without me having to pull up on the reverse lock lever.

I cannot seem to figure out what is wrong, i called the "help" line and he tried to point out things that could have gone wrong but of coarse non of them fixed my problem, he ended up telling me hes never heard of this happening before and he basically does not know wtf to do.

Im thinking that it is an adjustment that needs to be altered abit, anybody have or heard of this happening, any suggestions? Thank you

adjust your left shifter cable... for this situation i would suggest putting it into reverse, then unclipping the left shifter cable. then move the shifter to the right a little bit and put the clip back on the shifter cable. you may have to do this a few times, until 5th and the reverse lock out both work.

**for my car i left it in 5th and adjusted the cable, until both reverse and 5th worked perfectly.
