Interior paint chipping

Has anyone else noticed the silver painted surfaces chipping on the interior of their car? The dash is fine on mine but the painted parts around the window and lock controls on the door has a lot of chips in it. its weird cuz i dont wear a watch, rings, or any jewerly for that matter and it looks like it has been scrached by something, and its on both sides. Any one know where i can get some matching touch up paint?

I had the same exact problem with those pieces. Take it to your dealer, I got completly new ones covered under warranty.

I got my Cobalt used, being about a year old, and it had chipping around the window and lock controls. I went to the car dealer and asked if they had paint. They said fixing it was still under warranty, so they ordered new paneling and replaced it. BUT in the process they screwed up my lock/unlock button on the driver's side, so it sucks. It will lock/unlock with the remote key and when I go from drive to park, but not with the button itself. I still need to get that fixed. Just watch out if you get it replaced.

Ditto here, plus my HVAC controls are also having paint issues, the edges of the controls the paint is cracking. It looks like the paint is cracking from severe heat!

I have chips in the silver paint on the doors and crackling around the HVAC controls. The dealer has ordered replacement parts. I hope the replacements hold up better. I also hope they don't mess up something else on the center stack or create creaks/rattles by replacing that part.

I had my hvac controls replaced, and pretty much almost every other silver trim piece on the damn car.. its one of my biggest annoyances about it.. make sure before you leave after the replace it that the trim piece on the dic controls is set right, the clips tend to bend for that piece... i saw a g5 gt today and the carbon trim looks sweet, i was thinking about maybe ordering those parts, i mean im afraid to put my hand on the window controls have the time because i'm afraid its going to peel.

they order black rings to put around the panels.. i had to order them myself because the dealership never did, so i said screw it.. they were cheap though.. looked weird at first but looks okay now.

after the cobalt dies, i think its time to switch to a non-GM vehicle.
