Key stuck in ignition

my friend has a 07 2.2 auto an her key is stuck in the ignition has anyone else had this happen? ive tried the trigger in the colum an its not working

The exact answer it that the dealer needs to replace the key tumbler with the updated one as they did to mine when it was stuck in the ignition in the on position.

Y don't you just pop the bottom hatch open and unlock it? I had to do that once to a friends cobalt. Never did it again. It takes 2 seconds. Sounds like your SOL on gm replacing it
