So last month my car started making a hiccuping noise every time i let off the throttle to shift when i am slightly in boost like 1 to 5 psi and even more so if i let the rpms raise over 3500 rpm and shift. its very loud almost sounds like the turbo is chopping the air for a second. lately it has been getting much louder and backfiring quiet often. at first i thought it was the bypass valve so i installed a forge motorsport bpv and it didn't make any difference. the mods i have on the car are k&n sri and a zzp catted downpipe. there are no check engine lights.


If any of you guys have an idea where i should start looking that would be a huge help as i am stumped

Miles on car? Have you boost leak tested and changed the plugs lately?

 

14k miles almost new i put an old budget tune and it seemed to go away i wonder if it didnt set back to stock tune when i tried it the first time. i think i figured it out just need to get retuned
