Damn those are some ugly rotors, should have painted them when you had the wheels off,you would know if your rotors were grooved, you would feel a shaking in the pedal or steering wheel when braking
I hate to say this, but that is just a grey type spray paint they have used on those rotors. Alot of the new GM cars come with that grey coating and believe me, the rust will show its ugly head on those very shortly as well. When I bought my 06 Monte Carlo SS, they came with the "painted" rotors from GM like that, give them a few months, they will also start to rust... They are not truly Zinc Coated...

Just to let you all know, I've been driving all day and the stopping power feels a tad better with these

how many miles do you have G5 , i'm wondering if mine would be warrantied or not ive got 8K . Mine have a real bad sticking problem from the rust . Every moring after they are wet they break loose when backing out of the garage with a big bang . I wonder if that is reason enought to get the new ones .

Well I have had them on 5 days now,and I can truly say that breaking is more smoother than when I drove the car off the lot. but the best part is that my rims are STILL clean.lol
Hey Mike,
I know it's been a few months for this post but I'm just windering what you 'long term' thoughts are on these rotors? My brakes are still working ok but tons and tons of dust. It's going into Carter Poco on Friday for an oil change, and they are going to look at the brakes at the same time to see if there is a way to stop the dust.
